Grace Jung is a New York based Taiwanese writer/podcaster who was born and raised in Taiwan. She moved to the United States when she was 17. After working for the fashion industry for a decade and living in the States for 20+ years, she started to share her experience and has a goal of showing Taiwanese readers those untold perspectives outside Taiwan. She is a regular columnist for Taiwan’s Crossing 換日線 magazine. Several of her pieces were published in Crossing’s quarterly-issued print magazine, including:
「在這裡,學歷根本不算什麼」美國服裝業打滾 10 年教我的事
名牌包與台灣菜市場 200 塊包包,為何我選後者?──我在紐約服飾業做「輔料採購」8 年的真心告白
在紐約遇見台灣(三)美國文具實用但制式?「由申甲」把台灣文創商品,賣到紐約人的書桌上
Started in 2021, Grace produces and hosts the podcast Connecting with Taiwan as an extension of her column, showcasing Taiwanese and Taiwanese Americans’ undiscovered stories.
As a mom of two kids, it is Grace’s ultimate goal for her children to be Chinese & English bilingual. She then created the podcast Our Chinese & English Journey to discuss with other parents the struggles and share methods for success on this bilingual journey.
Her current writing interests include how to promote Taiwanese products to American audience and bilingual education.
